SALARIES

Holiday earning rule check

  • The February version release (v49) included a new function that enabled the checking and updating the holiday earning rule for a single year.
  • After the March version release this check and update can also be done for individual employees in their Holidays tab (Payroll > Employee register > Holiday tab of the employee). When the holiday earning rules are modified (holidays and or holiday bonus days per month) with the Edit holiday earning rule button, a window pops up to confirm that you want to make changes to the earned holidays for the selected year. Most common case is changing the earning rule from 2 days to 2,5 days at the completion of the first year of employment.

Collective agreement salary types

  • In the future, when defining salary types for the percentage-based holiday pay in the setting on the Holiday pay settings (collective agreement) view (Management > Payroll > Holiday pay settings (collective agreement) it is possible to add all salary types reducing base salary.
  • Salary type 1013 has been moved from the default view to the view behind Add salary type button, along with newly added salary types 1014-1017 and 1022-1024.
  • If any changes are made to the existing collective agreement settings, the holidays must be updated after this on the employee register Holiday tab with the Year recalculation This recalculates the new cumulative holiday earnings for the salary slips on that holiday year with the newly selected salary types.

Naming the collective agreement

  • Along with the further development of the Holiday pay settings (collective agreement) we will be adding a validation rule to the collective agreement name to ensure that all agreement names are unique.
  • The validation aims to make the naming of collective agreements clearer and to avoid situations where two agreements share the same name get mixed up.
  • Currently, there are collective agreements with identical names. These agreements will be named by adding the date the agreement was created to the end of the name.
  • Collective agreement names can be edited in the Holiday pay settings (collective agreement) view (Management > Salary info > Holiday pay settings (collective agreement) by selecting the collective agreement in the Collective agreement field and clicking Edit.
  • More instructions on creating collective agreements can be found in our online manual.

Setting up holiday data

  • In the March version update, we will be releasing a feature that allows a collective agreement to be selected in the Set up holiday data view and the collective agreement to be imported on the holiday data import file.
  • We also enabled selecting the collective-agreement-based percentages directly on the Set up holiday data view or alternatively importing the percentages on the import file when the holiday calculation rule is Monthly plus shift compensations.
  • The name of the collective agreement on the import file must be filled out exactly the same way as it appears in Procountor.
  • If the collective agreement column is left blank, the collective agreement will default to “No custom settings.
  • The collective agreement is selected from the drop-down menu on the Set up holiday data view.
  • More information on how to import holiday data can be found in our online manual.

LEDGER ENTRY TOOL

  • Up until now, Procountor has had two different ledger entry tools: Ledger entry tool and Ledger entry tool (new). Ledger entry tool (new) is meant to replace Ledger entry tool.
  • We will be removing Ledger entry tool in the March update and leave only Ledger entry tool (new).
  • Along with the removal of the old Ledger entry tool we will be updating the name of the Ledger entry tool (new) to Ledger entry tool.
  • More information on the remaining ledger entry tool (named Ledger entry tool (new) before February 20, and Ledger entry tool after February 20) can be found in our online manual.

COST RECEIPT MANAGEMENT

When users edit receipts in the Cost receipt management view (Search > Cost receipt management) the user will be notified of any unsaved changes when moving from one receipt to another.

More information on the Cost receipt management view and managing receipts with Procountor Mini can be found in our online manual.

USABILITY IMPROVEMENTS

Importing files when creating salary lists

  • If the import file contains a social security number that is used by two separate employees, one of which is passive, the import will ignore the passive person and will create a salary slip for the active employee.

Accounts and transactions report

  • From now on if the user searching for the Accounts and transactions report does not have user rights to payroll, the report will only show the name of the salary list instead of the name of the employee. The user will no longer be able to access the salary slip from the report, either.
  • More information on the Accounts and transactions report can be found in our online manual.

Salary slip PDF preview

  • Previously, the salary slip PDF preview showed the remaining holidays according to the time and date the PDF was printed.
  • We have now changed the logic behind this, so that the salary slip PDF now shows the holidays remaining when the salary slip was created, not the holidays remaining when the PDF preview was opened.

Employee Holidays tab adjustment history

  • The adjustment history has not always shown all changes made by other users until the web browser was refreshed. This has now been fixed.

Income tax return form 6B

  • The previously noted problem in the mapping of accounts to the 2020 income tax return form 6B will be fixed in the March version update. This error caused information from account group 141 to be mapped to field 437 and account group 147 to be mapped to field 438 on the tax return even though neither of these fields should be automatically filled.
  • We have removed the erroneous mappings to these fields 437 and 438 from all Procountor environments.

Bank statement accounting logs

  • After the March update, the bank statement Accounting view will add the name Procountor to the Created time stamp when the bank statement has been imported to the environment, and the account postings have been automatically formed.
